This is such an easy natural beauty cleanser recipe!

All you need to do is macerate* some violet flowers and leaves  in olive oil for a couple of weeks, then strain and add some beeswax to the oil mixture.

Hey presto!

This cleansing cream is excellent for removing make-up, even for sensitive skins.  You may also use this mixture on your face and hands as a body lotion if you suffer with dry skin.

If your poor tootsies are feeling tired and in need of a softening treatment during these summer months, then this quick and easy recipe will help to exfoliate and improve circulations:

Ingredients

1/2 cup fine sea salt

1/3 cup olive oil

10 drops Rosemary essential oil

4 drops Peppermint oil

To make:

Place the sea salt in a small bowl and add the olive oil to it until the texture changes to a slushy paste.  Add the essential oils (being careful to count the drops) and stir well.

To use:

Scoop up the mixture in your hands and massage into the soles of your feet. Wrap up in warm wet handtowels and then cover with a dry towel, keeping your feet up for 10 minutes while you allow the natural products to work their magic.  Rinse the paste off and dry your feet gently; apply with a natural foot butter or foot balm to keep the good feeling flowing!

In 2004 my son and I visited the most beautiful place on this Earth – the abundance of coral and stunning array of fish was, quite simply, breathtaking. Despite my long-held fear of water, even I was so entranced by what lived just a few inches from the soft white sands that I took up snorkelling and spent almost 2 weeks floating face-down in the calm waters of Nuweiba.

Nuweiba is a small town reliant entirely upon its thriving tourism and port, with tribal bedouin having lived in this part of South Sinai for centuries.

I find it hard to believe that a government can be so blase in its destruction of natural habitats and heritage – as will happen if this power plant goes ahead.  Please kindly read the petition and if you care about our world’s natural habitat that has evolved over millions of years, please add your voice to ours.

We managed to stop the mass-cull of pigs recently in Egypt – let’s see if we can do the same with this hideous power-plant idea.

Strong Objection to the Nuweiba Power Plant Project in South Sinai planned by the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company and to be financed by the European Investment Bank and the African Development Bank.

We kindly ask for to join us in combating a serious situation that is arising in Nuweiba!

We, and other investors, residents and workers in Nuweiba, have, over the past couple of days, just learned of the plans of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company to build a very large power plant, (750Mw gas powered turbines on a site of 105000 square metres – towering over 82 metres in height), in the middle of Nuweiba City, South Sinai, Egypt.

Financing is reportedly to be forthcoming from the European Investment Bank and the African Development Bank, (even though procedures of the banks and of the European Union for the granting of such financing have not been properly adhered to).

Furthermore, we were dismayed and shocked to hear that this project has been approved by the Egyptian Environment Affairs Agency.

Less than a week after receiving the EIA study, without proper study of the EIA report by ministry experts, the minister of environment approved the project due to strong pressure from the minister of Electricity complimentary.

If such a plant proceeds, it will have a disastrous effect on the local tourism industry, on the local Bedouin population and, above all, on the local environment.

Nuweiba is one of the most picturesque parts of the whole southern Sinai Peninsula, has an excellent and unique tourism potential, is home to two major Sinai Bedouin tribes, and has an almost unique, relatively undisturbed underwater marine life.

Apart from the obvious enormous detrimental effects such a project will have on the local environment and population during the construction period, once operational, the plant will have a negative impact on the quality of air, will reduce the level of sunlight, increase noise pollution and, above all, will damage seriously and irreparably the marine life and coral reefs that lie all along the east coast of Nuweiba adjacent to where the plant is planned to be built. The increase in water temperature will damage the aquatic life in Nuweiba in a number of ways, most prominently by causing a rapid reduction in the number of different fish species found here, causing the death of some and by forcing others to move to distant stretches of reef, but also by inducing coral bleaching and rapidly increasing the amount of algae in the water. This effect will initially be localised to the reefs in the immediate vicinity of the plant, but will, over time, extend to destroy more and more of the reefs in Nuweiba and further afield.

Such a large power plant will also cause the eventual demise of the local tourist industry and subsequently force the closure of the hotels, dive centres and other tourist service providers in the area, resulting in the loss of jobs for the many workers within the tourism industry and the loss of livelihood for the various local businesses that supply products and services to the tourism industry in Nuweiba. Tourism is a major source of income for the local Bedouin tribes so the effects on the loss of this industry are simply unimaginable.

We kindly and respectfully ask your assistance in putting pressure on the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, the South Sinai Governorate, the European Investment Bank, the African Development Bank and the Egyptian Environment Affairs Agency immediately to withhold approvals for this project pending full investigations, in co-ordination with internationally recognised environmental protection agencies, as well as to hold full disclosure meetings and consultation with local residents, businesses and NGOs as this has apparently not be done. The proposers of this project did place an advertisement in Al Ahram Newspaper, (a single, 1/8th page, insertion on the 8th April 2009 with very brief details on the project and with the instructions that any interested parties should visit certain offices either in Cairo, 470 km away, or Ismaileya, 400 km distant, or attend a meeting on the 15th April 2009 in Sharm el Sheikh, 160 km), but made no other serious attempts to advise, consult or inform the local community.

Oh boy – another ear issue, the bane of my life.  I have suffered with ear issues since a tiny babe.  I can vividly recall being in St Mary’s Hospital, Eastbourne (a scary place if ever there was one!) at the age of 2, screaming for my beloved Nanna not to leave me while they kept me in after emergency grommet surgery in both ears.

Since returning from Egypt in 2004 the ear issues have stepped up a notch … I blamed it on the snorkelling way back then, as we’d spent the whole two weeks submerged in the beautiful calm Aqaba waters of the Red Sea.

2am this morning saw me up and about – the pain so bad in my right ear that laying down was causing real pressure issues.  We have not been snorkelling for over two years now so what on earth could be the issue?

Thinking back to my anatomy & physiology training, the left brain is wired up to the right side of our body; the right brain is wired up to the left.

Left brain functions are said to be “mental” (also relating to paternal):
~ uses logic, detail-oriented, facts rule, words and language, present and past, math and science, knowing, acknowledging, order/pattern, perception, reality-based, strategic, practical, safe

Right brain functions are said to be “emotional” (also relating to maternal):
~ uses feeling, “big picture” oriented, imagination rules, symbols and images, present and future, philosophy & religion, believes, appreciates, spatial perception, impetuous, risk-taking

Bearing in mind the left brain-right body idea, I checked out Louise L. Hay’s book “Heal Your Life” (always handy for clients) and surprise, surprise: Ear problems can suggest there is something that the person does not want to hear, including suppressed anger from occurrences in childhood.

That rings true : what do I not want to listen to? What am I not hearing? Time for reflection and meditation (after a visit to my GP, of course, to remind her I still exist!) …

Louise Hay gives a positive affirmation for each correlation between the physical and possible emotional causes of illnesses in her book, so for ears she says:

“Represent the capacity to hear.”
Affirmation: I hear with love (ahhh, that’s nice!)

For earache:
“Anger. Not wanting to hear. Too much turmoil. Parents arguing.”
Affirmation: Harmony surrounds me. I listen with love to the pleasant and the good. I am a center for love.

Although the anger aspect does not resonate with me, inner turmoil has presented itself over recent times as I find myself torn between two businesses … maybe I should listen to loving family and friends for once, do what I always recommend my clients to do.

Rest ~ stop putting yourself under so much pressure!  Take time to just “be” …

I especially love the second affirmation so today I will put that to good use while I wait for an emergency appointment to see my GP (and use my own natural remedies to keep the pain at bay!).

A MESSAGE FROM THE WHALE CONSCIOUSNESS

We are that part of the Flow of Cosmic Love that you call “Whales”, and we are communicating now with that part of the Flow called Human on Planet Earth.

We are asking you to find that Flow of Love in your own Hearts and to listen to what Flows in Ours.

We have a message for your consideration. We ask you again to listen with your Hearts and to find within yourself the Points of Unity with Us. We ask you to “see” into the Hologram of “All That Is”, and see the many facets of Who You Are. These are like the brilliant facets of a Diamond, each one shining brightly to reflect the Radiant Light.

So, we ask you to consider Who we Are. You are learning to know yourselves within the Holographic Dream as Multi-Dimensional Beings of Light and Love. So, we ask that you perceive Us too in this way.

In your Third-dimensional or Material Reality, we are “big fish” that swim in your Oceans and your scientists love to “study” us with their mental focus. In a Fifth-dimensional Reality, we are the Ancient Ones and the Record Keepers who are respected and honored by your Indigenous peoples, and we are close to their Hearts within the “web of Life”. To Higher Dimensional Consciousness, we are the Dream Keepers and Heart Weavers of Planet Earth, and we hold the Past and the Future Dreams within us; we are the Light of Source seeking to express itself through Unconditional Love and we seek to Dance with the Unconditional Love within You. This is Who We Are. And more. As You Are.

In the Higher Dimensions of Light, as “Weavers of the Dream of Love” on Earth, we have held the Planetary Hologram in place. We have “dreamed” this reality for it is our work to weave heart dreams into manifestation. You too, are learning to activate this ability within yourselves. You are our beloved “children”, and we see you learning these skills with great pride and joy. We know that you are emerging and ready to become Weavers of the Dream with us.

So, here is our message for this time. Many of you who have opened your Hearts to the experience of Heart Weaving, have “felt” our message coming to you and you have responded in different ways as you have experienced it on different levels of focus. Our request is that you see and perceive all the levels of focus of Pure Love, for Us and for Yourselves.

So, on the Material level of focus, where you see and perceive Us as beings of the Ocean who need your help, that is one level of Truth. Those of you who respond to this level of Truth are attempting to alter the Dream from within, by shifting and moving existing pieces of the Dream to allow for new experiences of Unconditional Love to emerge. At this level, though, which is the slowest vibrating, you tend to think in emotional and mental patterns, and you experience anger and pain for Us. This leads you to seek ways to protect us and our environment. We do appreciate these expressions of love, but ask only that when you operate on the material level you also take into consideration the other levels of focus. We do not judge any of the levels, we accept all who seek to show their love on the material level and to express love in this way. For it is indeed important to honor and appreciate and show gratitude and love for the physical manifestations of the Dream, for they all contain the Light of Source and the love of Source. So, there will be those whose Heart Light will lead them to offer their Power and Energy in the physical protection of the physical reality that is the material manifestation of a beautiful dream. We ask only that you seek for ways to express this that are non-conflictual and loving and respectful to each other as you work with this energy. Strive to work with the energy of protecting and sustaining for the future, but do so with love and without conflict as far as is possible.

Those who focus their energy into the Fifth Dimensional level of the Dream, know us as part of the Radiant Web of Life, the Dream itself. They honor our wisdom and our Being, and they seek to work with Us as a part of the “wholeness” of the Planetary reality. They know that we have Soul and Spirit, like them, and they seek to work with Us on that level of awareness. Many who have this level as their focus, receive messages and transmissions from Us that are focussed on assisting Us within this reality of Physical and Spiritual Being, and we honor those who work with Us at this level. We ask only that you do your work with Love and Respect for those within the Hologram who do not see things as you do. We ask you to understand and be patient. Know that this was how we felt when You began to hunt and slaughter our physical beings. We were patient, waiting for that time when You would see that what you were doing to Us you were doing to Yourselves. For here, at this level of the Dream called the Fifth Dimension, we are All One and we experience the intense reflection of our Unique Oneness as a Planet within the Diamond Light of Unconditional Love for All. So, when you act within this level of the Dream, know that how you act and think will be reflected back to you in the Unity of All That Is. So be patient, loving, and gracious. If you work with Intentions, and Planetary grids and with Love from the Heart, know that we honor your Work and we work with You in Unconditional Love at all times.

Now, those who focus into the Multi-dimensional reality of the Hologram itself have come to know us as the Ancient “Creator” energies of the Planet, those who weave the dream that you call planet Earth. And we, together with other Beings of Light, have worked with you as Humans, so that you may learn the art of Weaving Light with your Hearts, and to learn to Weave the Dream as One with Us. Over thousands of years, we have worked with you, waiting for that moment when you would be ready to join us at the level of “creating the dream”. Yes, this is a powerful level, where you understand that we are All One, and on that understanding you see how powerful it is when we Dream as One. Individual dreams are powerful, and you know how to manifest your individual creations into reality though heart-felt passion. But, when you “Dream as One”, you can create entire worlds!

This is the miracle of Holographic Creator Consciousness, where you understand the power of “Dreaming as One” with the Divine Creative Essence. For, when your beautiful Human Hearts unite on the Fifth-Dimensional Grid of Diamond Heart energy and you “Dream as One”, then you are able to hold a dream so powerful and coherent and unified, that it will manifest into reality very rapidly.

You have learnt, with assistance from the Beings of Light, how to come together and link your hearts as One. Now you are learning to “Dream as One”. Know that you are always connected to each other, and that you are always connected to your soul groups and families, your “pods”. If you, as a Heart-connected group, hold the Dream of a New Earth within your hearts as One, so it will Be! And here, within your hearts as within ours, we will together create a planet where we will all be safe and honored and free to fulfill our highest potential through Unconditional Love. Then we will all be able to live the multi-dimensional reality of the great Love of Source reflected in every Radiant aspect of the Planetary Hologram. We will, together, be the Weavers of the Dream of Earth, dreaming as One.

And so, we ask only that you honor each other at whatever level you work, and that you work together. For the seeds of the New Dream are already there within every Heart in this Collective Dream.

To achieve a more radiant skin and beautiful complexion, it is vital to use only the purest skin care products, particularly those made only with raw, living and natural ingredients. In this article, I explain why this is the best external skin care possible which, together with a healthy diet, right lifestyle and a positive mental attitude, helps the skin to become softer, firmer and achieve an unmistakable glow.

From the outset I’d like to emphasize that becoming more beautiful is available to anyone now, regardless of their present health, condition or age, who is willing to create beauty through changes in the diet, external skin care and mental outlook.

What we put on our skin is just as important as the food we eat. The skin is the body’s largest organ and plays a crucial role, not only in the elimination of toxins and in regulating our internal temperature, but also in terms of absorption.

Therefore it is critical to use skin and personal care products that, first of all, are free from toxic chemical ingredients. Some of these ingredients include:

a) Propylene glycol: Found in practically every skin moisturiser, propylene glycol is used as the base ingredient in the manufacture of brake fluid and industrial anti-freeze. It greatly damages and ages the skin. It also causes rashes and dry skin.

b) Lauryl sulphates: These corrosive chemical ingredients used in industry to manufacture garage floor cleaner and engine de-greasing are also one of the main ingredients in practically every major brand of shampoo, bubble bath, face wash, shaving gel & toothpaste. Lauryl sulphates eat away at the mucous lining of the skin, are highly irritant to the eyes and cause urinary tract infections.

c) Parabens: synthetic chemicals which have been linked with breast cancer. They are used as preservatives in many shampoos and personal care products.

Secondly, it is important to use skin care products that are made only with raw, living and natural ingredients such as raw cacao (cocoa) butter and cold-pressed oils. This is because the skin greatly nourishes from the life force, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids present in the natural ingredients.

The benefits are numerous. The life energy in the ingredients is highly nourishing and healing. Antioxidants for example, help to reverse skin ageing and inflammation and help heal scar tissue. Minerals play a key role in beautifying the skin, hair & nails. Sulphur, for instance, is a central component of collagen & connective tissue, which provides elasticity & flexibility to the tissues. Vitamins such as A, C and E are moisturizing, soothing and healing to the skin. Essential fatty acids help to remove toxins from tissues.

To ensure that the life force and all these nutrients are retained, skin care products must be made at temperatures below 40C. If ingredients are heated above this level during the manufacturing process, most of the antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and the life force in the ingredients are destroyed. A good example of this is cold-pressed olive oil, which has long been considered a topical remedy for wrinkles and facial lines. Not surprisingly, olive oil is the best source of raw vitamin E. However, it is also is extremely sensitive to temperature and light and becomes completely corrupted when heated.

Heated oils and fats when used in skin care products even in the so-called most natural ones- are actually one of the worst offenders to skin beauty. They contain highly toxic transfatty acids, which may be absorbed into the cell membranes, causing them to become porous and weak. Heating oils and fats also leads to the creation of free radicals, which are unstable oxygen molecules that have lost an electron. Collagen, a protein molecule that constitutes 80% of the dermis, is particularly susceptible to free radical damage, which includes wrinkles, lingering scars and stiff collagen

In contrast, cold-pressed fats and oils kept at low temperatures help to beautify the skin, strengthen the cell membranes and restore nutrients to the tissues.

In short, the best external skin care is to use products made using only 100% raw and living ingredients. At present, the only company in the world producing a range of such products is Raw Gaia.
