Lightworkers

Author: Callie
08 29th, 2008

Lightworkers everywhere have awakened to a call from within. The feeling of coming here to do something, even if they aren’t quite sure what it is, won’t go away. The earth is out of balance, there are too many toxic situations and hidden agendas. Oppression, demoralization and deception bogs down the evolution of the planet. The time has come for All to be brought to light. Destiny has been set in motion and what is unseen will be exposed. Covert and manipulative operations are being uncovered every day, usually by lightworkers.

Lightworkers share a common purpose of illuminating the truth. Lightworkers don’t take what they’re told at face value. While others may blindly follow without question, lightworkers question and examine commonly held beliefs. What has been accepted at face value by previous generations will be thoroughly scrutinized by lightworkers. These dogmatic concepts seem superficial or outdated to many lightworkers. Just because “it’s always been that way” will not be enough. They won’t respect someone just because of a position they hold or the possessions they have. Anyone who hopes to influence lightworkers must be accountable and earn their respect.

Lightworker is a broad term. A lightworker may or may not be members of the new soul groups incarnating here, commonly called Indigos and Crystals. They may be incarnated from the many different realms of the universe. Many lightworkers are souls who normally do not choose to come to life on earth but are doing so now because of the evolutionary shift taking place on the planet. Lightworkers volunteered to be here during the transition and advancement this planet. A common thread among all lightworkers is a need and desire to illuminate the Truth. There is a large group of souls that have been in power on this planet for millennia. These soul groups have incarnated in power positions over and over again building up manipulative karma that is toxic. The major change happening right now is that these powerful soul groups aren’t blindly accepted as just and worthy leaders by lightworkers or by the subsequent generations to come. This is causing a huge rift and what situations arise fr om these changes and shifts of power remains to be seen. It depends on so many different choices and alternatives that will be created by the billions of incarnated souls-the script is still being written.

As lightworkers, it’s important to be positive and embrace these changes. The “powers that be” now won’t be able to subsist once the veil of illusion is thinned and the truth completely revealed. Because of this, those in power are worried and are hoping we’ll all believe in the doom and gloom scenario they’re creating to surround this change. To counteract this murky energy, we need to shine our beautiful lights even brighter and hold the vibration of truth within ourselves.

Like all people, lightworkers incarnate with no memories of their life mission. As they awaken at some point in their life, questions begin to surface. What is my life purpose? Why am I here? Why did I choose this life and these challenges? So many lightworkers tend look outside themselves for answers. It will be difficult for them to break out of the habit of wanting someone else to tell them where to go and what to do. Others will feel they know exactly what to do and find their path changing as their purpose matures.

Many lightworkers will be attracted to many concepts and ideas simultaneously and become confused on which is the “right” path for them. Some will search for a guru or a leader hoping that someone on earth has all the answers. And, there are the lightworkers who are contacted directly by the spiritual realm and told what their role is. What they’re told may be specific or it may be vague.

So what are you here to do? We should be flexible and know that there may be many different jobs and situations that are part of our spiritual purpose. Don’t get stuck or attached to any one path or situation as there will be many changes over the coming years. Let your passion be your guide. Know who you are and what interests you.

Don’t look for someone else to tell you what you are here for. Instead, go within and ask your Higher Self, “Why am I here and what should I be doing? What did the Divine envision when I was created?” Really pay attention to what comes through after you ask. Be aware of synchronicity happening around you. Signs that come in three’s. Listen to your inner voice. We are all unique creations of the Divine and everyone has different strengths and talents.

As with all of the Holy Spirit’s creations, each lightworker brings light into this realm in a unique way. All lightworkers have the affinity to communicate with the spiritual realm and many chose to use their intuitive gifts to help others. Of course this isn’t always the path that’s right for everyone. Many lightworker souls chose the path of the healer or counselor but the way they do it will vary greatly. For every gifted Reiki Master, there is a comedian lightworkers who heals with joy and laughter, bringing more light to our lives. There are lightworkers who are blessed with high I.Q.’s and part of their purpose to prove new theories or disprove outdated ones. Certain talented souls chose to bring in more light through the beauty of art and music.

Catalyst lightworkers are the pioneers and debaters, or in the extreme, downright rebellious, and are here to awaken the sleeping community and prompt them to question what they’ve always accepted as truth. Warrior lightworkers are ad vocates and defenders of the weak and helpless. Teaching lightworkers are motivators who turn the self-defeated into the self-empowered. There are also the writers and teachers getting the new information and stories out there. The list never ends. These are all “God-given” gifts. Our true calling in life, lightworker or not, always involves something we are passionate about doing. Allow your innovative, radiant Self to emerge by first going within and fully understand who you are and then emerge with passion and joy.

Some days with all the best will in the world it seems impossible to get yourself into productivity mode.  You know how it is, you’ve got some amazing plans that you are excited about and loads to do but can’t get your a** in gear.  I’ve been experiencing a lot of this recently and I’m sure I’m not alone.  Feelings of self-judgement and self-doubt rise to the surface “how much can I really want this?”, “have I really got what it takes?” yada yada yada.Things like physical activity help but what about those days where it seems as though nothing can shift it? Inspired while commenting on Alex Shalman’s recent post “11 ways to jump out of a lazy rut” here are 9 ways I use that help:

1. Let yourself be lazy

A great starting point is to simply let go and let yourself be with your laziness. “It is what it is” is swiftly becoming a favourite saying of mine and in this case you are feeling lazy so be lazy – accept it. It may not be practical you may have 101 things to do, but fighting it will keep it lingering for longer.

Chill out, giving yourself permission to be lazy doesn’t mean you will fall into a pit of endless inactivity, it’s happening for a reason and as long as you fight it you are unable to access the insights, wisdom and learnings from the experience. “What you resist persists” after all. Once you allow yourself to be with it, you can move on to taking something valuable from the situation.

2. Leaving enough time for integration?

There are many reasons for feeling de-motivated and listless, once you come out of victim mode “why am I tired? I’m exhausted, I’ve got no energy etc” you can start to see what your body is communicating to you. For fans of personal transformation it could be a sign that you are not leaving enough time for integration. When we are involved in a physical exercise programme it’s a known fact that the rest and recovery days are just as important as the days we take physical exercise. The same applies to personal growth work, I believe being more present and conscious to our lives means we use more energy and need to take time out to allow our growth to integrate.

Resistance happens prior to integration so see your lack of motivation as a sign that you are in resistance and need to take time out to integrate. Good integration activities include anything that feeds your soul and makes you feel good in a nourishing way, like meditation, exercise, reading, sleeping etc. For yoga fans it helps to see integration days in the same way you see the corpse pose at the end of a session.

3. Are you supporting your physical needs?

Another thing your body could be communicating to you is that it requires more physically for what you want it to do. Are you eating enough? Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals? Again, this is of extra importance for people going through transformation as you are not only using physical energy every day but also mental, emotional and spiritual energy too. What more can you do to support your body?

4. De-clutter and simplify

We can find ourselves de-motivated when we are overwhelmed by how much we have to do. Feelings of laziness can be a good indicator that we may have to much on and need to scale back by de-cluttering and simplifying our lives. Have you got too much on your plate? Are you spreading yourself too thinly? What can you cut back on? This is a good time to write down all you have to do, reconnect with why you’re doing it and prioritise accordingly.
De-clutter in the mind first and your environment will follow.

5. Ebb and flow

We live in a world of duality; there is no flow without ebb. One day you could be flowing in the sea of productivity and another stuck in a drought of inactivity. This is normal and the ebbs help the flow. Use ebb time to do less taxing but necessary things like sew that button on you’ve been meaning to or update your address book or something.

6. Take baby steps back to productivity

The fog of de-motivation will clear you just don’t know when so allow yourself to do a little of something that will take you in the direction you want to head. Here’s a practical method I use:

  • Just like with the de-cluttering step write a list of all the stuff you “should” be doing and keep updating the list whenever something new comes to mind. Use sub-headings if necessary.
  • Then assign each task a realistic timescale to complete it
  • Draw up a plan starting from the following week or so and allocate the tasks to certain days. Make sure you leave space in your plan so you don’t feel trapped and in case of anything you haven’t accounted for comes up. Also, bear in mind appointments, if you have a Doctor’s appointment on Tuesday morning this means you will have less time on Tuesday for work, factor this in. Spread this plan out over as long a period as possible, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months it’s up to you.
  • Have a look back at your plan, how do you feel about your tasks now?
  • Kick back and relax knowing that your tasks are now out of your head and you have a plan of action where everything will be done.

7. Change your perspective

Laziness is a judgement and there are many other ways to reframe it. Instead of “being lazy” you could be relaxing, chilling, integrating, landing, treating yourself to down time, preparing for a busy period, nurturing, nourishing…… Get the drift?

8. How does it align with your goals?

Sometimes these feelings arise in response to something you have been asking for.  For instance, I am working towards manifesting financial abundance and have been experiencing a lot of tiredness some days.  I can see now how this relates to my intention.  Because I sometimes feel guilty about feeling tired it’s like the Universe is saying “if you want to manifest abundance, you’re gonna need to learn how to rest.” How else will I enjoy all the financial abundance I WILL manifest.

9. You are always creating

Physical activity or no physical activity, you are always creating! When you are feeling bad about feeling de-motivated, you are feeling guilty and therefore creating more to feel guilty about and guilt always looks for punishment.

When in the midst of de-motivation think about what you are creating from how you are feeling about it. It can be a great time to take you closer to your goals or away from it – you decide.

I discovered this interesting article quite by chance – it made me giggle because a dear friend of mine recently bought her very own jar of Raw Gaia’s Raw Chocolate face mask from me, and DID try to eat it straight from the jar!  I think it was the turmeric that did it for her – it wasn’t quite so yummy in powder form, but once it was mixed with water (ready for applying) you certainly tasted the raw chocolate within it!

An eco-friendly lifestyle is very appealing to many people, for health and other reasons. And some of these reasons apply to skin care products that you may be commonly using now. If you want beautiful, healthy looking skin, a regular skincare routine is necessary. What most people do not realize is that organic skin care products tend to offer many more benefits than regular skincare products, and they’re good enough to eat.

Why eat? Well, if you think about it, the skin is extremely absorbent. So if you smear a cream on your skin it will absorb the ingredients of that cream into your body, pretty much as if you ate it.

And believe me, you wouldn’t want to eat regular mainstream skin care products. Organic skin care products would probably taste bad, but wouldn’t do you any harm.

Why? Organic skin care products are a great choice for anyone who wants to avoid the potentially dangerous chemicals which can be found in regular skin care products. The average face cream contains chemicals that you have probably never even heard of. Many skin care creams and other facial products contain chemicals which are suspected, or even known, to cause cancer.

Examples are Parabens, Dioxane and “fragrances” which may mean any one or more of hundreds of chemicals. And DEA, MEA and TEA. If you Google any of those words you’ll find out a lot more about them, and why you don’t want to be putting them on your skin.

You will not need to worry about chemicals which may be harmful to your skin when you choose an organic face cream.

Now of course it’s not quite necessary to eat it, but if you did it wouldn’t do any damage.

An organic face cream is a great choice for people who have very sensitive skin. While there are skincare products which are designed to suit the needs of people with sensitive skin, there are still some people who find themselves allergic to them. Since organic skin care products are made from natural ingredients, they may be a better fit for people with sensitive skin. Of course, keep in mind that it is always important to check out the ingredients before using any skin care product.

Another one of the reasons that you may want to switch to organic face cream products is because they are known to be much more effective than regular face creams. The main reason is because most of the natural ingredients which can be found in organic skin care products are also known to work as home remedies for treating skin problems. If the skin care products that you currently use are not working, then you may want to try organic skincare products instead.

If you are thinking about using an organic face cream, it is important to do a little bit of research about the product first. Always consider buying from a well known manufacturer of organic skin products. There are many companies which claim that their organic products are made from all natural ingredients, when really only a small percentage is all-natural. Try to look for skincare products which consist of at least 75% organic products.

Forget about your flight. Focus on bagging bargain products and treatments at the biggest UK airports instead

Katie Bowman – 10th August 2008

Who can resist the lure of duty-free? Now that the beauty giants have cottoned on to our last remaining retail weakness, they regularly devote entire product ranges to the frequent flyer. Here we lift the lid on the best airport beauty buys to brighten up your holiday and save you a pretty penny.

TERMINAL TREATS

It can’t be long before spas arrive in every airport. Could there be a better time to have a wax than in those boring hours between check-in and takeoff?

Heathrow, Terminal 1: Urban Retreat (020 8745 6440) was a godsend for me. I was flying to Cyprus unwaxed and unscrubbed — a world away from bikini-ready. Then I saw the welcoming therapist; she had me buffed and primed in an hour. Basic entry costs £15, which includes use of the spa lounge and massage chairs. If you book in for a facial, body scrub, massage, pedicure, eyebrow shape or haircut, the entry fee is waived.

Heathrow, Terminal 3: If you’re really lucky, you might be flying business class and be able to take advantage of Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse — the type of lounge that makes you pray for the flight to be delayed. It has a Cowshed spa (020 8897 5055), along with a sauna and steam rooms, St Tropez tanning booth and Bumble and Bumble hair salon.

Heathrow, Terminal 5: British Airways premium passengers can wallow in the Elemis spas at Terminal 5 and New York JFK. Treatments include facials and massage — a treat if you’re about to jump on a long-haul flight.

Gatwick, South Terminal: Back in the real world, even economy passengers can visit the Clarins Studio at Gatwick (01293 507249). Go for a fast-track facial, pedicure, manicure or wax. The men’s treatment menu is great, too.

Leeds/Bradford: Book a Relax Me Now massage at the Ki4Health salon (£25 for 30 minutes; 0871 288 2288) — great for nervous flyers.

Glasgow: If you’re pressed for time at Glasgow airport, ask for the “maniped” at Nailport salon: a manicure and pedicure executed simultaneously. High-flying or what?

PRODUCTS WORTH FLYING FOR

Where is the best-value duty-free shopping in the world? To find out, I apply the Touche Eclat test whenever I go overseas — and the Gulf states always win. A stick costs just £17 in Dubai (£19.10 in Heathrow). However, it’s rare to be able to pick up niche brands in duty-free. So, if you’re after cult purchases, here’s what to buy around the globe.

Australia: The lovely organic range Aesop is roughly 25% cheaper in Oz; I always dab the Ginger Flight Therapy on my pulse points when I feel exhausted or stressed (£14 in Australia; £19 in the UK). Meanwhile, the Shimmering Skin Perfector from the Australian brand Becca is a moisturiser, foundation, highlighter and SPF all in one — and small enough to put in your hand luggage (£25 in Oz; £32 here).

France: With the euro so strong, it’s tough to make savings in Europe. In France, I still go for Caudalie products: the Crushed Cabernet Body Scrub (£24 in France; £29 in the UK) is fantastic for skin-sloughing before a beach holiday.

Japan: Plump for Shu Uemura and SK-II goodies. I recently bought SK-II Facial Treatment Essence in Singapore airport for just £52 (£75 here) after a stewardess recommended it for maintaining the skin’s moisture levels, even after 12 hours on board an aeroplane.

Spain: Natura Bissé Diamond Extreme anti-ageing moisturiser makes me glow, even when I’m jet-lagged. The cost is astronomical, though: £220 in the UK, but roughly half that in Spain.

USA: Whether they’re from Torquay or Timbuktu, beauty brands are usually cheaper in America (the weak dollar helps). So, despite La Prairie Skin Caviar being Swiss, it costs £150 in US duty-free, but £200 in Zurich. Nars The Multiple stick (£27 here) is almost half-price Stateside, and is such a fab multitasker that it is the only make-up item you need on a fly-and-flop beach break.

HOW THE CREW DO IT

Nobody flies the globe as immaculately as the crew. Here’s how they manage it.

Marissa Thomson, air stewardess for British Airways: “I buy Bio-Oil in South Africa. It’s great for scars and you can pick up a large bottle for £6.”

Tara Panchaud, air stewardess for Virgin Atlantic: “I stock up on StriVectin eye cream when I’m in America — a tube is £29 in Bloomingdale’s, compared with £59 here. I also have paraffin-wax pedicures in Africa and India.”

David, pilot for Spanair: “I always tell friends about the Medina Mayrit in Madrid, where you can take authentic Arab baths and have massages. There are three pools at different temperatures and a Turkish steam bath.”

Emma Tolley, air stewardess for BMI: “I can’t live without Happyderm by L’Oréal, as it helps to keep my face well hydrated during flights, and I buy Dead Sea skin products from Tel Aviv.”

TOP FIVE AIRPORT EXCLUSIVES

Here’s our pick of the top exclusives that you won’t find anywhere but the departure lounge.

1 Bobbi Brown Rose Shimmer Brick, £34: This exclusive colourway is a happy medium between blush and bronzer to help you move seamlessly from a pre- to post-holiday glow.

2 YSL Sun Kit, £22: For a dash of evening glitz, YSL has it sorted, with this gold-inflected bronzer that’s warm enough for most skin tones.

3 Estée Lauder Bali Dream Eau de Parfum, £25: A deliciously light, musky scent to take you from the beach to balmy evenings.

4 Dior Lipgloss La Collection, £29: Opt for gloss in hot climates — lipstick can have a none-too- attractive drying effect on parched lips.

5 Clinique All in One Palette, £29.50: Palettes were truly made for holiday living. Pack it in your hand luggage for touch-ups before you land. (All available from World Duty Free.)
